Next March, we welcome Sam Lawrence of Bridges to Cutler for Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2026

Last week, Bridges was awarded its first Michelin Star, and will now join us in Melbourne for MFWF's 2026 Global Dining Series. Over two nights, Sam Lawrence (ex-Bones, Paris, and Estela, Manhattan) will cook in our kitchen, bringing his distinctive blend of Parisian and Basque influences to Gertrude Street. 


Reviewing the restaurant in The New York Times under the headline ‘This Manhattan restaurant is Even Better than its Buzz’, Melissa Clark described Bridges as ‘a piercingly intelligent and original restaurant, with a kitchen whose dexterity and finesse handily outshone the dining room’s influencer glow’. A meal at Bridges, she continued, ‘can feel like discovering that your hot date also has a sizzling wit and a PhD’.

This March, Sam and Bridges co-owners, Josey Stuart and Nicolas Mouchel, deliver that same sharp, playful energy to Fitzroy with a menu shaped by Sam's expressive style and the best of Melbourne’s autumn produce.
